System Implementation & Support Specialist

The System Implementation & Support Specialist will be a key team member in completing the Build Phase including final testing, fully implementing the new IT system for the organization in the Launch Phase and carrying through on necessary enhancements and support in the Post Launch Phase.

This is a one year contract position for a well-known corporate non-profit organization. Position can possibly be extended or go permanent.

Responsibilities

The incumbent will be working directly with the organizations IT Project Committee, System Development Company, National Executive Director, volunteers and staff

Build Phase

  • Carry out assigned tasks in completing the build phase
  • Conduct various final testing processes of the build phase
  • Launch Phase

  • Monitor and troubleshoot during the implementation of the launch implementation phase
  • Provide orientation, training and support to a wide group of end users during the launch implementation phase
  • Document and report any deficiencies or required enhancements
  • Post Launch Phase

  • Work with the IT Project Committee and the System Development Company on enhancement specifications, budget and implementation plans.
  • Provide ongoing support to all end users throughout the organization
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in software implementation and training projects
  • Post-secondary training in Computer Science or related field
  • Training, working experience and knowledge in WooCommerce, Moodle, WordPress, Mail Chimp, Quickbooks or similar software packages is required
  • Thorough understanding and working knowledge of integration software and database management is necessary
  • Previous experience in the not for profit or association sectors is a bonus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and cooperatively with large cross-section of stake holders
  • Self- motivated with outstanding initiative
  • Contribution that is reliable, consistent, effective and informed
  • Strong understanding of software development, web technologies, web development processes and solutions
  • Requires a well-rounded set of competencies encompassing technical skill, customer focus, and professional accountability
  • Must be well organized, structured, disciplined and detail oriented
  • Strengths in project planning, project delivery, adaptability, managing details, and follow up skills are required
  • Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Fluency in French as a second language is a definite asset
