Prime Management Group has been engaged by a London Ontario based company in it’s search for a Vice President of Operations.
Our client is a leading firm specializing in the formation, development, and operation of Buying Groups. Their mandate is to manage Buying Groups into achieving competitive buying power with the primary focus on providing services across Canada and Internationally.
The client is well established, and a leader in their niche market, they have been collectively been working for, members of, or suppliers to buying groups and purchasing cooperatives for a combined total of over 100 years.
Due to company growth this exciting new position has been created. Some of the key requirements for this role are :
With the VP Finance’s assistance, create and present monthly reporting to the CEO and to General Managers. This reporting covers both financial and other metrics that are important to the success of the various groups / departments.
For groups with Boards of Directors, you will take over leading the governance / meeting chair role, including meeting with incoming Chairs and new Board Member to educate them on their roles.
Building relationships with all Board Members is important.
Be an integral participant in the Strategic Planning and Program Development for the member groups.
Ensure that groups are all using similar processes and continually work to monitor the effectiveness of processes and improve them where required
Will assume the responsibility as the Signing Officer for Legal Agreements, both new agreements and renewals, as well as banking sign off authority for EFT / ACH payment processes and cheques
Ensure support services and operational staff are providing quality and timely services to all constituents (Group Members, Suppliers, GM, CEO and other staff members)
The ideal candidate for this role will be an individual that started their career in a financial capacity and then chose to diversify their experience by taking responsibility for other disciplines with the company framework.
Experience with a multitude of products or services would also be deemed a definite asset. The ability to travel internationally will be required.
