Joined by a team of physicians and nurses to provide the required services at one of the Authority’s referral centres, the successful physician will be expected to provide the full scope of Obstetrics / Gynecology services which include but are not limited to inpatient consultation, emergency and on-

call services, and outpatient clinics (inclusive of antenatal clinics, OB ultrasound, colposcopy and general gynecology clinics).

The coverage of on-call commitments, including weekends and holidays, are shared appropriately amongst all Obstetricians / Gynecologists.

The successful physician must work in a team-based, client-focusedenvironment, and partner with all team members to improve employee and patient safety by integrating safe work practices, identifying risk and implementing improvements when required

Qualifications :

  • Eligible for registration and licensure as an Obstetrician / Gynecologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
  • Satisfy the credentialing requirements of Central Health’s Discipline of Obstetrics / Gynecology
  • A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance
  • A satisfactory Certificate of Conduct from the RCMP or local police authority
  • Dates : As soon as possibleHours of Work : 75 hours biweeklyRemuneration :

    Salaried locum rate $1188 per day for 56 days, then $1024.19 per day or Fee-for-Service (as per the Memorandum of Agreement and Department of Health MCP Billing)
