Our client located in Windsor in the Property Restoration industry is looking for a lead Project Manager (PM) to work side by side with the owner of the business.

They are the fastest growing Restoration company in Canada. They provide emergency response, restoration and reconstruction services to the insurance industry, residential, commercial customers.

24 / 7 emergency service, we offer a wide range of services that remediate conditions caused by fires, floods, winds, mold.

Position Summary :

Responsible for developing a definition of a project, in conjunction with the Property Owner, Adjuster, or Insurance Company.

The PM ensures that the project is delivered on time and to the required quality standard within agreed specifications. Focus is on scoping and estimating the work required to restore properties to their pre-loss condition.

Responsibilities :

  • Initial assessment of Client’s property
  • Be available 24hrs / 7 days (as required)
  • Meets with customers both commercial and residential to evaluate loss. Maintains company image and attitude.
  • Educates the client on the process of repair , the timing of service delivery and realistic expectations from this process
  • Prepares accurate quotations through job costing and estimation, ensuring target margins are met.
  • Accurately completes all necessary paperwork and documentation in a timely manner. (i.e. work authorization, diagrams, charts, photos, monitoring records, etc.).
  • Delivers exceptional customer service to insurance stakeholders, homeowners, and property managers.
  • Ensures that Emergency Estimate Timelines and Rebuild Emergency Timelines, as per company Standard Operating procedures are respected
  • Builds, leads and deploys the best quality team to achieve the objectives of our corporate strategic plan.
  • Ensures that the company health and safety policies and procedures are followed and that all branch personnel are up to date with all health and safety procedures and training.
  • Focuses his team's efforts to teach, improve, and practice mitigation techniques.
  • Monitors customer satisfaction throughout the Emergency Phase
  • Inspect progress and work quality throughout the project
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships and act as a prime liaison with policy holders and adjustors
  • Complaint resolution
  • Generates new leads through relationships (adjuster / property managers)
  • Prescribe and implement appropriate mitigation procedures as necessary and continues with follow-up as required to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Provides complete scope and estimate of claim loss utilizing Xactimate and other programs as directed.
  • Estimate for insurance claims to restore the property back to its pre-loss state
  • Qualifications :

    Education & Experience

    University degree or college diploma in business management

    Preferably a minimum 3 years experience in the restoration / emergency industry


    Water Remediation Technician (WRT)certification

    Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician certification (FSRT)

    Odor Control Technician certification (OCT)

    Skills & Knowledge

  • Detailed understanding of reconstruction practices for property that has suffered damage due to water, wind, mold, and fire
  • Knowledge of building codes and electrical, or plumbing, or mechanical and related codes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience with XactAnalysis is a definite asset.
  • Basic accounting competency with an understanding of invoicing, billing procedures
  • Experience planning and monitoring budgets
  • Additional requirements
