The incumbent works in cooperation with various departments, including Engineering, Product Integration, Finance, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Purchasing, Mechanical Workshops and Production, and with Installation trainers.

The Industrial Engineer also take charges of projects assigned to him / her, from evaluation to pre-production.Tasks and Responsabilities

  • Conduct research and data collection on technological innovations
  • Perform technical, efficiency and feasibility analyses
  • Document concepts to support the transfer and retention of knowledge
  • Prepare technical specifications
  • Keeping abreast of the latest technological innovations to suggest projects aimed at improving the quality, productivity and reduction of costs of existing processes
  • Participate in improving practices and processes within the team
  • Manage and participate in high-impact projects : prototypes, sample requests, standards to comply with, etc., from design to pre-production
  • Conduct analyses, make estimates, ROI calculations, timelines, do follow-ups, ensure communications, management of meetings and prepare documentation
  • Propose improvements to equipment or manufacturing processes and participate actively in continuous improvement
  • Communicate with the people concerned on the progress of requests
  • Cooperate with different departments involved in the modification or creation of production equipment requiring short-
  • medium- and long-term solutions

  • Participate in establishing, implementing and reviewing processes
  • Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or other area of engineering relevant to the position
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Minimum of three years experience in a similar position
  • Experience in equipment improvement and research project management
  • Excellent knowledge of plastics, composite materials, aluminum
  • Knowledge of pneumatic, mechano-welded systems and electrical components an asset
  • Knowledge of thermoforming processes
  • Demonstrated Skills

  • Must be able to travel to the United States or other country (5-10%)
