Our client is a full service builder with experience in all aspects of the construction / development process. They fulfill various roles depending upon their client's requirements such as Owners Representative, Development Manager or Construction Manager.
Their primary area of focus is wood frame and concrete multifamily construction. The company is undertaking an exciting new project along one of the most desirable transit corridors in Vancouver and they are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to support their growing team.
Your new role
You will be instrumental in managing the on-site activity relating to the construction of an attractive mid-rise 150+ unit residential development.
The role will include overseeing trades contractors in order to ensure quality and productivity on site. You will have a keen eye for detail, and be someone who is dedicated to working in a safety first site environment.
Working closely with the onsite based team, where you will have significant support from your Superintendent and Project Coordinator, you will be instrumental in making sure that the project is completed on time and on budget.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to take on more responsibility, and more ownership, of the projects that they complete.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a technical certification or degree, and 5+ years' experience working as a Project Manager with a Vancouver based General Contractor or Developer Builder.
Preference will be given to those candidate who have significant multifamily experience, and who have previously worked on concrete residential projects (midrise or high rise).
You will need to be process driven, and dedicated to maintaining an organized and efficient work environment. Given the highly visible nature of this project, you will be a strong communicator and a Manager who takes pride in maintaining a professional and driven team.
