Position Overview :

Reporting to the Head of Performance Sales, the Sales Effectiveness Manager will drive the continued development of a best-

in-class sales operations organization. You will have a proven track record of driving sales performance and a legacy of driving operational efficiencies across Home & Auto, and Travel.

You will work in collaboration with the sales, service, quality and compliance, and continuous improvement teams, to develop tools and practices to deliver all unit sales activities and help develop a sales culture

The Sales Effectiveness Manager is accountable for participating in the development and execution of the Sales targets, vision, goals, and continuous improvement objectives that will deliver on the overall Top and Bottom Line performance of Johnson and RSA.

This role is jointly accountable with the other Operations Directors and Leaders to ensure the effective and efficient operation, balancing and satisfying the expectations of all stakeholders : customers, employees, internal business partners and senior leadership.

What you will achieve in this role

  • Maximizing unit sales potential (cross-sell, up sell) through development of a high performing sales culture.
  • Design and lead initiatives that improve sales performance and customer value across Home & Auto and Travel leveraging continuous improvement techniques and agile methodologies
  • Leverage creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth.
  • Assist in the launch of new initiatives through Performance Labs leveraging data and insights from the Insights and Continuous Improvement team.
  • Ensure that a robust management operating system exists, including key business metrics and trends that support the business unit decision-making process.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Drive consistent Sales Process / Methodology improvements. Develop best practices to utilize appropriate technologies to improve organizational performance and shares those best practices with sales operations peers.
  • Work with sales operations leads to recommend and implement sales force automation and tools. Ensure consistency of process and methodology across functions
  • Identify capability improvements (process, system, tools, coaching), influence and shape other improvements.
  • Develop cross functional relationships across all areas of the business in order to influence change and process improvements

  • Significant experience with leading a sales organization.

  • The expertise required to coach and support a high performing team, create a positive team environment and work closely with other leaders and colleagues regardless of position or level within and external to the organization.
  • Proven ability to develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports and motivate others to achieve stretch performance targets.
  • Proven ability to set direction, create strategies and business plans and execute the plans / strategies.
  • Expert functional operations management experience acquired through the successful management in the past of several operations.
  • Passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience with a focus on quality of calls and providing the right level of service that is aligned to the customers’ needs.
  • Required Skills :

  • Bachelor degree and minimum 10 years’ experience in a sales and service operation
  • Strong planning, financial and analytical skills and strong business acumen to apply to complex situations with competing priorities.
  • Capacity to develop and influence strategic plans as well as ability to disseminate the strategy into tactical actions for your team.
  • Ability to challenge convention and advance best-in-class commercial sales models.
  • Strong consulting skills. Proven ability to be a trusted business partner with senior business leaders to understand needs and deliver solutions that meet expectations.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to overcome obstacles to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage projects with multiple tracks as a high-energy leader.
  • Aptitude to develop and deliver clear action plans and drive processes with numerous interdependencies.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to quality and be results driven and customer focused.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with demonstrated written and verbal skills to tell the story
  • Exceptional Microsoft office skills in all programs is essential
  • Excellent people leadership skills with demonstrated success in driving a high-performance team and developing future leaders.
