Position Description :

Responsible for leading,directing and coordinating the work of Turner trade employees. The LaborForeman is responsible for ensuring safety, schedule delivery, and quality ofwork performed.

Reports to the Field Superintendent Team

Essential Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Be aworking foreman while leading laborers to complete jobsite related projects
  • Dutiesmay include but are not limited to performing physical labor in assistance withjobsite clean-up, rough carpentry, site logistics, fencing, deck and platformbuilding, protection systems, and construction waste areas
  • Reviewsjobsite needs with the project team
  • Participate in the activities of subcontractors and suppliers
  • Overseeand making decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling,delivery, logistics, quality control and trade employee staffing levels
  • Completes and submits time sheets, daily construction reports, and requiredsafety paperwork daily
  • Adhereto the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Tradeemployees / subcontractors compliance with Turner standards and all applicablesafety codes, regulations, and jobsite security
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers,and other employees
  • Accommodate afternoon, night and weekend work as needed
  • Displaya high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations
  • May perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

  • Qualifications :
  • Between two (2) and five (5) years of experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and exposure to supervisory responsibilities

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    Moderate technical abilities including the utilization of a smart phone / tablet and supported software

    Proficiency in EH&S applications

    Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule

    Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills

    Must be able to comprehend safety instructions and signage, communicate effectively in emergency situations and understand written safety instructions from tool and equipment manufacturers

    Physical Demands :

    The physical demands describedhere are representative of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    Constantly : Standing,Walking, Combined Standing and Walking, Lifting / Lowering / Carrying weight under25lbs, Reaching below shoulder height.

    Bending / Twisting neck, and Balancing.

    Frequently : Lifting / Lowering / Carrying Weights 25-50lbs, Reaching above shoulder heights, Bending at thewaist (forward & sideways), Pushing / Pulling, Climbing, Repetitive Motion,Noise / Dust / Chemical Exposures, and Working on heights.

    Occasionally : Sitting,Lifting / Lowering / Carrying-Weights over 50lbs, Squatting, Kneeling, Crawling,and confined space hazards.

    Additional Demands :

    Vision abilities requiredinclude : Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, perception, and focus.

    Hearing abilities required include : Hearing abilities required with or withoutthe use of an aide.

    Work Environment : The work environment characteristicsdescribed here are representative of those an employee encounters whileperforming the essential functions of the job.

  • While performing the duties ofthis job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work sitewhere the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts;
  • high precariousplaces; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk ofelectrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate tovery loud.

    May perform other duties as necessary or assigned.
