Our client is looking to fill two (2) Contracts Administrator roles at their Fort Saskatchewan based facility and they may be waiting on you to apply.

Contracts Administrator duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Change Management , Change Order compilation, negotiation and execution
  • Contract management and administration of complex construction purchase orders and contracts on site
  • Contract Administration including the management of a large general contractor with a very high dollar value and volume
  • Claims management, assessment and negotiation
  • Collaborate with multiple disciplines within the Project team including Construction, Engineering, Project Controls, etc.
  • Attend project meetings to provide updates and reports to project management
  • Daily interface required with vendors / contractors
  • Maintain confidential records and create, maintain and file reports, correspondence, statistics and related material for ease of retrieval
  • Advise team of contractual rights and obligations and the means to mitigate contractor risks.
  • Chair and attend weekly project meetings providing updates and reports to project management
  • Understanding the terms and conditions of executed contracts in order to verify / process change orders.
  • Contracts Administrator Qualifications

  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in contract formation and / or administration
  • Experience in oil and gas projects or general construction industry
  • Experience with ERP systems. Experience with SAP is considered a definite asset
  • Post-Secondary education in related field
  • Power industry experience is considered a definite asset
  • Proficient with MS Office
  • General knowledge of business law and legal ramifications with respect to contracts and procurement requirements
  • Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
