Consultant

Pension Plan Consulting

Your role :

You will be working with our dynamic and diverse pension consulting team and will be responsible for managing and overseeing actuarial valuations and various types of client-related work.

You will help develop and maintain strong relations with clients in an environment that is rich in learning opportunities and collaboration.

You will also have a strong interest in developing customer relations.

Responsibilities :

  • Oversee, supervise and review actuarial valuations for funding and accounting purposes
  • Participate in pension plan design
  • Prepare reports, presentations and documentation for client pension plans
  • Maintain excellent relations with client representatives, in-house consultants and plan administrators
  • Work on internal development projects
  • Supervise less experienced employees and be a mentor
  • Participate in ongoing professional development
  • Participate in business development to identify business opportunities
  • A successful Consultant requires the following skills and qualifications :

  • University degree in actuarial mathematics or actuarial science
  • FCIA designation or are in the process of obtaining it
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in pension plan consulting
  • In-depth knowledge of the entire actuarial valuation process
  • Very good knowledge of pension legislation
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to see the big picture
  • Highly skilled in oral and written communication; excellent people skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Bilingual (English and French), oral and written
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Job Grade : MS4
