OBJECTIVE :

Reporting to the VP Operations, the Master Scheduler plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules to ensure a controlled flow of finish products timed to meet customer requirements (forecasts).

The Master Scheduler also make sure to optimize manufacturing capacity utilization by properly loading our external manufacturing facilities.

Moreover, the Master Scheduler assures the coordination with the sourcing group responsible to execute the Material Requirement Plan (MRP) and makes sure any change in Supply & Demand are properly reflected in both our Master Production Schedule (MPS) and our Material Requirement Plan (MRP).

Along with his team, the Master Scheduler is responsible to issue a proper flow of work orders to production and align production priorities to changing customer needs while assuring proper communication of finished good availability to the interested internal departments (Customer Service, Sales, Distribution, etc.).

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Analyze forecasts and raise any planning / manufacturing concerns through S&OP
  • Build Master Production Schedule (MPS) that meets both customer demand and capacity constraints
  • Runs MPS & MRP periodically and assigns proper ship dates to new orders based on material & manufacturing capacity availability
  • Reviews FG EOQ's and safety stock to drive effective inventory levels to ensure high on-time line ship complete
  • Coordinates with production planner to execute the production schedule on both weekly and monthly basis
  • Analyze sales order variations and adjust manufacturing schedule accordingly (manual in Momentis, messages in D365)
  • Coordinate effective communication with customer service on any delays affecting on-time delivery
  • Coordinate revision and tracking of all work order to ensure they are on time and the factories are level loaded
  • Adjusts work order start dates and / or quantities to utilize resources effectively and efficiently
  • Updates and finalizes resource planning looking 3-12 weeks out
  • Expedites operations and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
  • Utilizes systems in place to retrieve data to make good sound business decisions
  • Lead the production planning team (Production Planner and the Planning Coordinator) to deliver the above objectives
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree preferred and 5-10 years of production management experience
  • Interpersonal Skills : Must be able to speak with employees, department managers and senior leadership
  • Leadership Skills : Must be able to inspire, motivate, and keep employees engaged
  • Problem Solving Skills : Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it
  • Time Management : Must be able to manage time efficiently often under pressure
  • Works with a positive attitude, demonstrates confidence and is as a team player who works cooperatively and effectively with others.
