Mission

In order to support the growth of its Energy and Resources sector, CIMA+ is currently looking for a project manager to join its new Industrial Mechanics department in the Greater Montreal Area.

Under the supervision of the department’s senior manager, the incumbent will be entrusted with a variety of multidisciplinary projects and studies of various scales for our industrial clients.

They will be involved in all of the assigned project delivery phases. From need definition to on-site execution, the project manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of each project phases.

By integrating project processes specific to each of our different clients, the incumbent will be required to define technical solutions, and establish schedules and budgets for each project.

A regular presence on project sites is required to maintain optimal communication with our different clients.

Primary responsibilities

Lead all project steps (FEL1 to FEL4)

Prepare project drawings and identify project objectives

Establish engineering budgets and ensure monitoring thereof

Develop technical solutions

Estimate and plan selected solutions

Prepare mechanical drawings and specifications

Carry out general design layout on-site at the plant (mechanical and plumbing systems, industrial ventilation)

Establish equipment specifications

Ensure coordination between suppliers / subcontractors and owner’s representatives

Ensure the internal coordination between the various disciplines involved in the project

Analyze bids and issue purchase recommendations

Prepare project schedules and ensure monitoring thereof

Offer on-site technical support to contractors

Prepare project progress reports

Participate in field surveys

Profile

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent

Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)

More than five years of experience in the industrial sector (mines and metals, petrochemistry or pulp and paper)

Leadership, good interpersonal and communication skills

Experience management OPEX and CAPEX

Command of the French and English languages (spoken and written)

ASP Construction card for OHS on construction sites (an asset)

Excellent ability for multidisciplinary teamwork

Self-reliance, excellent knowledge and understanding of industrial production issues

Available to work on project sites on a timely basis (one to three days a week)
