What You’ll Be Doing

The Area Sales Manager, mortgage sales advisory team is responsible for developing, consolidating, and driving sales direction, providing leadership and guidance to the Mortgage sales advisory.

This involves managing the existing sales strategies of the team while enhancing the channel by establishing and driving a comprehensive sales vision and roadmap.

You will work with your team of professional advisors to establish reciprocal business relationships with real estate firm, and other reputable business sources for the purpose of identifying suitable customer prospects for residential mortgage financing.

You will ensure the recruitment, development & retention of a group of top performing sales professionals.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Client Experience - Lead by example and show your team how to deepen relationships, and meet client financial needs while providing a high standard of service.
  • Go above and beyond to champion CIBC within the community to develop new and existing client relationships. Encourage employees to quickly resolve client complaints, and to escalate when necessary.

  • Relationship Building - Build a culture of collaboration across multiple client offers so that clients are served by those best able to meet their financial goals.
  • Market banking centres and the Mobile Advice and CIBC through events held to promote financial advice to clients. Leverage existing network and build new networks within the community (e.

    g. Business Associations etc.) to facilitate new client acquisition.

  • People Leadership - Lead and coach a high performing sales team of Leaders, Advisors, and Representatives to deepen client relationships and grow business to CIBC.
  • Provide meaningful development opportunities for employees and challenge people at all levels to re-think the way they do business.

    Advocate for CIBC within the community to recruit employees who share and demonstrate our values.
