Reporting to the Merchandising Planning and Execution Manager, the Category Review Planner is responsible for planning and coordinating the various stages leading to the deployment of a merchandising strategy for all Lowe's Canada banners.
To do this, the incumbent must have in-depth knowledge of project management and product merchandising process. The selected person should be proactive and have a good sense of organization and communication.
Build the plan for each of the projects in its division
Collect, validate, and structure the information required for the launch of the project
Establish the required milestones according to the strategy of the go-to-market team
Consult with support teams to establish the duration of each step of the project plan
Ensure that deadlines are met
Prepare an agenda and lead weekly cross-functional meetings to follow up on each task
Gather information and details to update the project schedule
Raise the stakes and participate in the development of an action plan with the support teams to maintain the project execution date.
If the date cannot be maintained, escalate the stakes through the existing channels.
Deal promptly with raised problems; initiate meetings with stakeholders to put an action plan in place to resolve the problem
Understand the various business processes required for the smooth running of the project (eg, financial approval process, supply chain, etc.)
Work cross-functionally to manage and organize work processes and ensure optimal workflow
Coordinate the set-up of planograms in the laboratory and / or test stores
Perform any other task that may be assigned by the Merchandising Planning and Execution Manager
University degree in a relevant discipline
More than three (3) years of experience in project management, process development or retail planning, or similar field
Intermediate proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work independently with limited supervision and react to changing priorities in a dynamic business environment
Excellent time management skills and organizational skills to ensure that all activities and tasks are performed simultaneously in an effective and efficient manner
Good communication skills and ability to support multiple teams
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
Ability to meet deadlines and solve problems
Ability to work in a changing environment
Spoken and written bilingualism (French and English) (required)
