Overview
Promote the sale of Ready Mix Concrete in the Tri Cities market and cultivate new customers that accept Lafarge as their Supplier of Choice .
The incumbent will develop and sustain a Business Strategy designed to gain or protect market share in the territory, provide technical service to Lafarge customers in territory, lead / assist in the territory Marketing and Sales efforts within the Business Unit, and to monitor the quality and performance of Lafarge products in the territory.
In this position the representative needs to know their market, the customers, the competition, spec writers, testing people and any other industry related persons.
Developing relationships with these people will allow the representative to get involved with their businesses and create opportunities for sales.

Ensures all aspects of his / her role are executed in a safe manner. Obeys safety guidelines when on construction sites and Lafarge operations.
Sales
The Sales Rep will have accountability for defined customer segments with detailed budgets and objectives. He / she will sell to existing customers and develop new customers.
He / she will understand customers’ product and business requirements and translate the current and unmet needs of customers into sales opportunities.
use this information to price projects with the ongoing supervision of the Sales & Area Manager. Track and report all jobs won or lost and follow market share using tools such as Salesforce.
com and Qlikview. The Sales Rep tracks and interprets market indicators (ie. Construction starts, building permits, housing starts).
Compile sales backlog & forecast data.
Value Added Products : Promote special product sales with the assistance of the product specialists.
Help customers obtain concrete information and strengthen customer relations through value added marketing and branded products to make company supplier of choice.
Customer Management, AR, Credit & Collections
Communicate with customers about any concrete irregularities and with the help of various Lafarge support staff, solve the issue to both party’s satisfaction.
Process customer project contracts to ensure proper pricing for correct mixes to avoid charge backs and dissatisfied customers.
Assist in any quality control concerns with customers and resolve in a timely manner.
In coordination with the credit team, engages accounts on collections of outstanding invoices.
