The Role :

KORE Software is seeking a highly motivated Data Integration Engineer with experience in SQL and ETL / integration tools to join our DWA Activations team.

You will interface directly with our project team to configure and deploy our products within an agile framework.

This role is for a 12-month contract position with a possibility of extension and / or conversion to a permanent position.

The team's main objective is to implement pre-built data integrations for the purpose of data warehousing, entity resolution, and overall master data management solutions to some of the largest media and sports organizations in the world.

This role requires someone with a strong technical aptitude and a sincere interest to learn new technologies and processes within the AWS eco-system and KORE's data platform including exposure to technologies such as Spark, Airflow, RedShift.

The successful candidate will need to be highly self-motivated to help support team priorities and meet release deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Work as part of a cross-functional implementation team to deliver a high-quality SaaS based data platform.
  • Deploy and support data extraction, integration, modeling, transformation, and business intelligence systems / applications.
  • Implement data source integrations through automation or manual steps during the implementation process.
  • Contribute and create technical documentation such as technical specifications, test plans, and product documentation.
  • Ensure the integrations from the Data Warehousing team are set up correctly and validate that the dataset is accurate.
  • Work on integrations and processes involving Amazon S3, DynamoDB and SFTP and analyze the configuration in the setup.
  • Support the maintenance and troubleshooting of the data platform.
  • Partner with the team's leadership and assist in driving forward best practices such as coding standards, code reviews, code management, and release strategies.
  • Participate and advocate in the team's agile processes and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Qualifications :

  • 1+ years of relevant work experience in software development including :
  • Experience with Python, relational DBMS (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres), NoSQL (Amazon DynamoDB) and / or database warehouses (such as Amazon RedShift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Understanding of Data Modeling, Analysis, ETLs and Data Warehousing techniques, along with big data concepts.
  • Experience working with APIs.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based technologies, preferably Amazon AWS services.
  • Experience working in an agile development environment and with project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Ability to document SDKs and libraries and articulate technical information efficiently.
  • Strong team player and be able to work with customers and multiple teams during integration projects.
  • Strong written and verbal English skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with the team and clients.
  • Solid analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Nice to haves :

  • Experience with SaaS multi-tenant architecture.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing and operations.
  • Development experience with C#, .NET Core and Airflow a plus.
  • Experience with AWS (ECR, S3, ECS, API Gateway, Lambda, Cognito, Kinesis).
  • Familiarity with Tableau Server and / or similar Business Intelligence technologies.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Delivery systems and Lean-Agile methodologies (Scrum / Kanban).
