Senior Analytics Engagement Manager
The Senior Analytics Engagement Manager works directly with business areas and technology groups across the Enterprise. This role understands business activities, user profiles, data usage patterns, solution patterns and tools used to identify improvement opportunities within the scope of Data and Analytics to enhance business decision making and insights.

This role reports to the Director, Analytics Engagement.
What you'll do
Contributes to analytics engagement strategies within the D&A organization
Works with business teams to create business cases that describe the value and desired outcomes for various data and / or analytics improvement opportunities / solutions
Brings together necessary members of the D&A team and other partner groups in the design and implementation of various solutions for business areas
Manages a pipeline of analytics solutions, assists in the prioritization of solutions and oversees the implementation of various solutions
Provides consulting to business areas on an adhoc basis on effective ways to leverage tools, data sources, and the availability of solutions at Teachers’ that may not be broadly known.
Identifies strategic Data and Analytics business usage patterns and evolves aggregate requirements and trends across the Enterprise.
Contributes to the management of the overall D&A demand intake by creating business cases for various intake requests coming into D&A.
Contributes to the capture of standard Data Consumption Patterns across the Enterprise to enable better understanding of data usage and key focus areas for solution / capability improvement
Coordinates with other partner groups as appropriate to deliver solutions where the subject matter expertise resides elsewhere.
Contributes to overall client delivery and represents aggregate D&A platforms and solutions in coordination with other programs.
Maintains industry knowledge on business / technology capabilities, data platforms, architectures, solution patterns, analytics tools / technologies, and data used by similar organizations.
What you'll need
University degree, Computer Science, BA, BSc, Business, or Economics.
Canadian Securities Course or demonstrated equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of relevant client management experience including at least 3 years in a management / position.
Strong client management skills including expectations, requirements, delivery oversight, client reporting and effective communication.
Strong delivery experience including projects, enhancements and business as usual improvements.
Experience in data operations, data management, securities database technology and / or analytical applications within an established financial services or investment fund management institution.
Excellent understanding of Data and Analytics solutions (platforms and desktop tools).
Strong understanding of data sourcing, database technologies, data connection methods, data visualization tools and advanced analytics tools, concepts & solutions.
Proficiency in Python, SQL, Power BI and Tableau to effectively collaborate with business and technology teams.
Understanding of process improvement frameworks e.g. LEAN
Strong understanding of leading solution delivery methods including project management practices and Agile Software development methods
Strong relevant technology skills including relational databases, dimensional models and data transport methods
Exposure to leading Analytics tools and industry offerings
Investment industry and / or capital markets experience, including multi-strategy / multi-asset exposure is a plus.
Excellent communicator, demonstrating strong interpersonal, collaboration and presentation skills. Must be able to take very complex data and concepts and make them understandable and actionable by both business and technical professionals.
Excellent verbal and written communication capability demonstrated at technical and business / stakeholder levels.
Strong business writer
Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills, planning and organizing and organizational change disciplines.
