Provide engineering support to the Program Management Office for Mission System projects with RF / SATCOM components.
Support to Bids and Proposal, and Sales Activities including analysis of customer requirements in order to define RF / SATCOM hardware configuration and engineering estimates.
Internal Research and Development (IRAD) Projects focused on developing RF / SATCOM technologies and systems to be used with Wescam’s core offerings.
Support the sustainment activities for RF / SATCOM systems.
Undertake necessary site surveys and inspections at various customer locations to support development of RF / SATCOM system requirements and solutions.
Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on Low Frequency (LF) / Medium Frequency (MF) / High Frequency (HF) / Very High Frequency (VHF) / "Ultra High Frequency (UHF) / SATCOM system and sub-
system interface documentation
Recommend LF / MF / HF / VHF / UHF / SATCOM system level solutions for discrepancies, deficiencies, and changes to equipment and specifications
Liaise with LF / MF / HF / VHF / UHF / SATCOM sub-system technical groups to ensure system integrity, performance, reliability, and maintainability
Provide LF / MF / HF / VHF / UHF / SATCOM system integration, analysis, and evaluation services
Prepare the planning and procurement support documentation, including technical data specifications, plans and drawings, standards, and Statement of Works (SOWs) for miscellaneous interface and facility ancillary items
Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relating to LF / MF / HF / VHF / UHF / SATCOM system components and associated documentation
Conduct design, technical, and management reviews to monitor, advise, and report on progress and potential problems
Conduct LF / MF / HF / VHF / UHF / SATCOM system integration testing and evaluation
Analyze LF / MF / HF / VHF / UHF / SATCOM system deficiencies and recommends cost effective solutions
Collaborate with L3 Wescam’s internal and external customers to ensure all technical issues related to RF / SATCOM systems are addressed promptly and effectively.
Support Software Engineering when required for RF / SATCOM integration into Systems software.
Perform functional tests at product and system level test to ensure the RF / SATCOM systems are verified in accordance with the specification.
Provide technical support for customer integration issues, and for In-service systems.

Familiarwith the installation and integration of systems in C6ISR, air, land, ormaritime environments.

Abilityto coordinate activities with multiple departments such as Design Engineering, SoftwareEngineering, Manufacturing and Program Management.
Understandingand familiarity with military and commercial standards in Air, Land or Maritimeenvironments.
Linkbudget analysis and range testing. Radio propagation modeling and prediction,microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination.
RFtest equipment, RF transmitter and receiver design, Omni and Directed antennadesign
Desired Experience and Education
Experiencewith Product Lifecycle Management and Configuration Management would be anasset
ProfessionalEngineering designation eg : P.Eng desirable
Abilityto hold a Canadian security clearance
