Job Description

You are a strong strategic and analytical thinker and would be responsible for helping bring sales solutions to life by producing dynamic presentation materials and compelling sales collateral.

As a member of the Corporate Sales Solutions team, you will partner with the Sales Solutions Manager and Sales Leadership Team to facilitate and support strategic projects and recommendations that enable the business to execute its highest priority initiatives.

You will work collaboratively with Sales, Sales Support, Data and Marketing teams to lead, build, and grow the business.

Specifically you will :

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and with stakeholders across Star Metroland Media to create the visual / descriptive framework for strategic business opportunities as they relate to print and digital content for RFP’s or proactively as required by the Sales Team
  • Provide administrative support to Corporate Sales Leadership as required
  • Assist in managing sales pipeline accuracy
  • Help prospect and develop new revenue opportunities for all platforms and products
  • Analyze and create sales reports coordinating and monitoring success of sales promotional campaigns
  • Remain up to date with all new Torstar product developments in commercial and editorial products
  • Stay current with innovations in the media industry and share with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or in a related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Media Sales and Marketing
  • Someone with a team-first attitude who engages well with others and steps in to help the team whenever necessary
  • Ability to demonstrate advanced Excel and PowerPoint Skills
  • Knowledge and experience with print, online, interactive media and integration of multi-media campaigns
  • Experience with organizing time, multi-tasking and setting priorities to meet various deadlines while maintaining a flexible schedule in a fast-paced work environment
  • A service-oriented, analytical, and strategic thinker
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Adaptable, easily embraces change, agile and collaborative
  • Expert in CRM, preferably Salesforce
