The Division of Internal Medicine at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital has an opening for additional full-time General Internist.
Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (NRGH) is the primary referral centre for central Vancouver Island, providing services to an immediate population of 125,000 and secondary referral services for a population of 330,000.
The hospital has 224 beds, excellent diagnostic services, a dedicated (closed) ICU, renal dialysis unit and a cancer centre.
With a foundation of general internal medicine, our group members have subspecialty interests and qualifications in respirology, nephrology, infectious diseases, neurology, ICU and geriatrics.
All General Internists practice cardiovascular medicine. A strong referral link with interventional cardiology exists with subspecialty colleagues in Victoria.
Eligible applicants must hold Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification in Internal Medicine and be eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC.
The successful candidate will join the Division of Internal Medicine at NRGH and participate in paid on-call coverage. Separate call rosters support the ICU and Nephrology.
As soon as possible
