Our Federal Government client has an immediate request for a project coordinator.
Duties / tasks :
Research, program analysis, knowledge development, and program / project management related to emergency planning;
Creation, development and execution of emergency response plans that demonstrate, convey or enhance skills and knowledge in emergency planning and emergency response;
Compilation, review, analysis and maintenance of integrated, emergency response data systems and plans, designed to track, organize and share key information relating to emergency planning and response;
Coordination of meetings, symposia, workshops and similar events - unique or recurring - involving internal and external stakeholders with shared interests in emergency planning.
This work requires Project Coordinator with extensive experience (5 years+) as follows :
Experience in contributing to the planning and managing of program or project (This must include work plan and budget preparation).
Experience in planning and coordinating meetings, workshops, conferences or similar events.
Experience in providing services in the areas of travel, contracts and hospitality.
Experience in using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Experience in working with a variety of stakeholder groups including federal and / or, provincial and / or territorial governments.
Experience in using MS project.
University degree with a specialization in one of the following areas :
project management, administration, finance or any related field.
