Job Description

The Transition Manager is responsible for successfully executing customer transition projects involving Infrastructure Technology Outsourced services.

For each engagement, the Transition Manager works with a team to develop and implement a master transition plan that manages cost and schedule to create or modify facilities, hire required staff, implement and test technical solutions, and put in place initial service delivery processes.

Duties include, but are not limited to : Directs the execution of the master transition plan and reports program management metrics to senior management per departmental standard operating procedure.

Tests and verifies validity of implemented technical solutions, providing feedback as appropriate to the service architecture group on problems and issues.

Follows all organizational standard operating procedure relative to cost modeling, approvals and reviews, and all other associated workflow and deliverables.

Interacts heavily with customer IT management (including executive management), segment sales, segment services sales, segment management, internal organizations, and vendor partners.

Takes assignment of customer transition projects of varying scope, time, and complexity and complete associated project tasks and deliverables with minimal supervision.

Bridges relationship between the pre-sales services architect and the post-sales operational business manager. Builds and reports on overall transition program status and provides executive leadership overviews.

Manages the internal transition team and activities. Responds to and resolves issues and escalations. Qualifications Skills and experience in managing complex transition services projects.

Exemplary project management and customer management abilities. Must have a thorough understanding of client related services processes and technologies.

Must be able to manage related project financials. In-depth ability to assess, manage, and remediate project risks. Expert in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).

Bachelor's Degree plus 8+ years relevant experience. Up to 75% or more travel to customer sites may be required. ITIL and PMI certification is preferred.
