HR People and Talent Business Partner
Miles HR has an outstanding opportunity for a People and Talent Business Partner to join a high performing HR team with a Leading, Global Investment Management and Real Estate Services Company.
This opportunity is best suited to a business-focused, mid-career HR Partner who has experience in the key Human Resources pillars of Employee Relations, Talent and Work Force Management and People & Talent Program Management.
This HR Partner role is broad in scope and includes providing guidance to client groups on performance management, employee relations, on-boarding, terminations and People & Talent programs best practices.
A key aspect of this role is developing and building excellent working relationships with internal client groups while providing sound HR guidance, resources and solutions to a multi-location employee base.

You have recent HR experience in Talent and Workforce Management, People and Talent Program Management and Employee Relations and are knowledgeable with Canadian Labour laws, Canadian Human Rights Act and Employment Standards Acts.
You delight in the opportunity to learn from and work in concert with a highly engaged and progressive Senior HR Leadership team.
Ideally, you have exposure to working in the investment real estate industry.
The Work :
Work in partnership with the business to provide advice, recommendations and solutions to ensure proactive support, guidance and high quality service on daily employee relations matters while working within all internal policies, procedures, employment laws and regulations.
Assist in management of sensitive workplace issues including, performance and termination and investigations.
Prepare and delivery of termination letters, severance determinations and participate in termination meetings.
Prepare and analyze people metrics to strategize how to improve on employee experience.
Partner with Talent Development Manager to identify and participate in employee development opportunities.
Promote an effective approach to performance development with managers, providing support with the creation and monitoring of goal setting and performance improvement.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Team to ensure all aspects of the recruitment and selection process are supported. Work in conjunction with hiring Managers to develop job descriptions for job postings and determining core competencies for positions.
Identify opportunities to improve current People & Talent processes and procedure.
Support the development, communication and implementation of People & Talent programs to improve the employee experience, including leading presentations and training as needed.
Support year-end compensation and performance reviews.
Collaborate with People and Talent Team on projects to support business needs and provide subject matter expertise.
You have 5+ years of progressive HR experience in a Generalist capacity supporting a business in multiple locations
You have expertise in employee relations and performance management
University Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
CPHR designation is preferred
Excellent knowledge of Canadian labour laws, Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation
High level of customer focus and client services experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
Consummate professional in dealing with confidential and highly sensitive matters
Effective communication style both written and oral
Proven ability to work with a geographically distributed employee population with the ability to collaborate across time zones
Ability to travel within Canada
Bilingual English and French an asset
Experience in HRIS system Ultipro an asset
Having exposure to the investment real estate industry will be an asset
