Canada content?Want to work with some of the top talent in the industry?If you answered yes to these questions, Radio-Canada’s Digital Media group is looking to hire an iOS developer, intermediate level, for its development teams.

You will play an active role in creating innovative projects on Radio-Canada’s major platforms, such as ICI TOU.TV, Radio-

Canada.ca and ICI RADIO-CANADA PREMIÈRE. Your responsibilities as part of the team will include planning, prototyping, implementing, unit testing and supporting enhancements, feature requests, bug fixes and, of course, documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following :

  • University degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing complex, high-performance iOS mobile apps.
  • Proficiency with Xcode, Git, iOS and Cocoa Touch.
  • Proficiency with Swift.
  • Ability to handle JSON files .
  • Experience working with pull requests.
  • In-depth knowledge of MVC, MVP or MVVM programming patterns.
  • Familiarity with SOLID architecture principles, an asset.
  • Knowledge of AVPlayer, Core Data and Alamofire, an asset.
  • Knowledge of C# / ASP.NET, an asset.
  • Knowledge of Cocoapods (including internal pods design / maintenance), an asset.
  • An app published in the iTunes Store, an asset.
  • Knowledge of streaming audio and video webcasting, an asset.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages, an asset.
  • Knowledge of design patterns, an asset.
  • Proficiency with an Agile methodology (e.g., Scrum), an asset.
  • Good general knowledge and highly curious (acquiring and developing new skills and knowledge).
  • Critical mind (you challenge the status quo and voice new ideas).
  • Keen interest in major mobile trends and issues.
  • Ability to be thorough, work independently, and be resourceful.
  • Excellent stress management and prioritization skills.
  • Analytical and conceptual mind.
  • Flexibility, initiative and drive.
  • Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Superior French-language skills and functional English, spoken and written.
  • Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
