Job Description :

Scribendi, an award-winning, Internet-based language company, is seeking a full-time Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our dynamic team at our head office in Chatham, Ontario.

We are looking for a creative, energetic person who is motivated to further their HR career and play a key role in attracting the top talent to help us grow our business.

You'll be involved in all aspects of the recruitment process and will participate in the creation of HR programs.   • Undertake recruitment efforts, including : o Posting job ads and reviewing resumes and job applications o Scheduling job interviews and assisting in the interview process o Creating a pipeline of potential job candidates o Compleing background and reference checks and preparing employee files
  • Update policies and procedures
  • Network and attend job fairs and events
  • Assist with payroll
  • Liaise with colleges and universities to discover student placement opportunities
  • Schedule employees and maintain attendance records

  • Qualifications & Education :

    Ideally, you have the following :

  • A degree / diploma in human resource management / business administration
  • One or more years of experience in customer service / administration in an office environment
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • The proven ability to multitask and prioritize effectively based on business demands
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • The ability to thrive in a quickly changing environment
  • Duration / Status of Position :

    Hours of Work :

    Full Time, Monday to Friday, 9 am - 5 pm
