Responsibilities : Operations Technology - Security Analyst
Contribute to the establishment and growth of an Operations Technology Security Operations Center by analyzing required detection use cases and design and implement suitable technical solutions including both in integration of existing third party products and the development of own applications
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing tools, methods and solutions to identify potential areas of improvement to further enhance both quality and scope of the Siemens Cyber Security Operation Center
Collaborate with other topic matter experts within Siemens and maintain a network into the research community to exchange ideas and understand how to incorporate them into the existing operations model
Advise SOC and information security leadership of security risks and opportunities and make recommendations on how to improve existing solutions and delivery models
You will also assist in pre-sales in the role of a technical expert to work with our customers to determine their need for security monitoring, attack detection present and explain the employed methodology and support them with feedback and verification during implementation
Bachelor’s degree required, MSc in Computer Science, Information Security, Mathematics preferred
5 years of hands-on experience in the area of security monitoring & attack detection eg within a traditional IT-SOC. Previous Operations Technology experience a significant plus
Experience in building and operating IT Security Operations Centres
Excellent up-to-date technical and hands-on knowledge experience in current attack methods, detection approaches, standard SOC infrastructures, state-
of-the-art detection tools e.g. SIEM anomaly detection etc
Experience in the energy generation and transmission industry a significant plus
GWAPT GXPN OSCP OSCE CCNP and CCSP are a plus but not required
Proficiency in a scripting language like Python, PowerShell, LUA or Bash
Problem solver who sees a roadblock and figures out how to get around it with a strong hands-on and can-do attitude
Willingness to travel up to 20% domestic / international
