Mission

In response to CIMA+’s growth and the success it earns in its markets, our Project Management Team is looking for a Senior Project Leader for our office in the Ottawa area.

The incumbent will be responsible for a major development project in the National Capital Region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership to specialty health care consultants, stakeholders and government entities (federal / provincial / municipal) to obtain approvals and deliver the different phases of the project.
  • Prepare the project management plan that focuses on the work required to obtain approvals and proceed from planning to design.
  • Support project governance and reporting to the Ministry of Health
  • Ensure ongoing and efficient communication between all stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Supervise all consultant engineering, management procurement and construction activities and ensure they are seamlessly carried out.
  • Reporting monthly on status of the project (scope, budget, schedule, risks)
  • Implement and ensure the application of all necessary controls in terms of health, safety and the environment, scope, costs, schedule and quality.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience managing health care sector projects (capital planning, procurement, site development, operational readiness)
  • Recognized expertise in the planning, design and construction for large-scale projects
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)
  • Good practical knowledge of French (spoken and read)
  • PMP, LEED Certification, master’s degree in Project Management an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills, flexibility and ability to work without or with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge and experience working on Ministry of Health stage gate submissions
