The Data and Service Operations Centre Strategy (DSOCS) is responsible for strategically supporting and governing the success of TELUS’ DevOps teams.

We use business intelligence, the newest technologies and service operations excellence to ensure world class reliability and a premier experience for our consumer and business customers.

As the Director of Network Assurance, you are an accomplished leader with the drive, passion and know-how for achieving operational excellence and business expertise.

You’ll harness these talents to propel the TELUS Incident Management teams (Network Operations Center, Command Center, and Event Management) to new levels of performance in core areas such as service reliability, operations efficiency and overall speed to market of services across enterprise.

Here’s how

  • Lead a diverse team of leaders and bargaining unit employees, proactively mitigate risk and manage planned network activities across the wireline / wireless network
  • Build and lead a team of team leaders to deliver operational excellence
  • Guide, coach and transform our skilled technical workforce as we support the transformation of our network from legacy to future friendly technologies
  • Enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Network Operations through the development and deployment of standardized best practices nationally and across your peer group
  • Support or direct project related work within your region or scope, ensuring network reliability throughout
  • Ensure cost effective contract operations in alignment with TELUS procurement policies and practices
  • Qualifications

  • With your progressive career spanning a minimum of 3+ years of operational leadership in a senior management position
  • Distinguished for your success in developing and leading geographically dispersed teams of engaged professionals whom identify with a culture of accountability, high performance, and collaboration
  • Acknowledged for your understanding of network assurance processes and technologies
  • Skilled at forging partnerships with various team and at various levels across an organization
  • Valued for your strategic thinking skills
  • With a knack for effectively driving next generation optimization towards being marketing-driven and customer centric
  • Passionate about inspiring innovation and process improvement
  • Commended for your business and financial acumen with advanced analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Regarded for your exceptional communication skills, including an ability to drive alignment through compelling storytelling and presentation to executive audience
  • With a P.Eng designation and / or advanced University degree, preferably in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Great-to-haves

  • Program or project management certification or experience
  • Leadership, business communications or organizational change management certification or experience
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or experience
