Excited to learn more? Reporting to the Manager, Personal Training, the Personal Trainer is responsible for providing members with customized Personal Training programs and knowledge, motivation and coaching to achieve their personal fitness goals.
Below are some of the primary responsibilities you will be taking on. We can’t wait to hear what else you can contribute to the role!
Provides exceptional Personal Training programs and service to meet the diverse needs of new and existing clients. Builds and sustains relationships with new and existing Club members.
Ensures that all Personal Training presentations and fitness assessments are delivered in accordance with set structure sand standards.
Ensures that existing Personal Training clients are scheduled for retests every three months.
Ensures that training methods and techniques conform to standardized Club training practices and training plans are tailored to reflect the personal goals, limitations and health concerns of each Personal Training client.
Tracks client progress through the use of routine assessments (i.e. weight, circumference measurements, and / or fitness consultations) to drive motivation and encourage goal attainment.
Proactively offers exercise tips, training and advice to Club members to build profile and services of Personal Training department.
Conducts Personal Training Demo sessions for prospective Personal Training clients.
Stays current on Personal Training, nutrition and fitness strategies, techniques and competitor industry standards, to enhance performance.
Maintains and upgrades certifications to provide highest level of service to clients.

Post-Secondary education related to health and fitness industry (Kinesiology or Physical Education) is required. Additional certifications or workshops related to health, wellness and fitness are strongly preferred.
1 plus years related Personal Training experience is required.
1 plus years sales experience an asset.
Successful completion of a nationally recognized Personal Training Certification is required. Successful completion of additional health and nutrition certification programs an asset.
Broad knowledge and understanding of injuries, disease, nutrition and any conditions that may affect ones ability to perform exercise, is required.
Related industry experience is an asset (i.e. retail, hospitality, leisure, fitness, etc.).
CPR & First Aid are required and must be maintained through employment.
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and motivate members to achieve their personal fitness goals.
Demonstrated regular and consistent participation of active physical exercise activity to inspire, motivate and set a strong example for current and prospective Personal Training clients.
