As an Advanced Product Developer, Thermal-Mechanical , you will be responsible developing system and subsystem concepts .
You will work with cross functional teams to design state of the art thermal solution for digital projectors .
You will :
Support the design of solutions for both air and liquid cooling technologies
Collaborate across other functional engineering disciplines to create feasible product concepts and thermal management systems
Estimate and simulate component and system thermal performance using Analytical methods, CFD and FEA tools.
Measure and validate thermal concepts and prototypes.
Develop and automate new thermal measurement capabilities
Analyze and Estimate product noise level
Coordinate and communicate project status with internal project teams.
Mechanical design of components and assemblies including plastics, sheet metal, structural components with hands on prototyping
Create high quality drawing packages and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies
Skills and Experience
You should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Qualifications include :
5-8 years of experience in mechanical design and or opto-mechanical systems
5-8 years of experience in thermal design of consumer electronics products
5-8 years of thermal management system design
Experience working with thermal simulation software (SolidWorks Flow simulation or Icepak)
Additional Preferred Qualifications :
Highly prefer experience with projectors or optical systems design
Experience with liquid cooling technologies is highly desired
Proficient in the use of 3d Parametric Solid Modelling, CAD Packages, (preferably Solidworks), and the development of detailed engineering drawings
Experience designing injection molded plastic, cast metal, sheet metal, and machined parts, assemblies, and mechanisms
Familiarity with fundamental electrical engineering principles
Prior experience with component level thermal modeling and testing
Experience in using Design of Experiments and statistical analysis of experimental data
Experience in feedback control for dynamic cooling systems desired
Good interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, ODM and third-party vendor teams
Experience with manufacturing, thermal components supply chains, and cross-communications between design teams
Experience using design tools such as : DFMA, DFMEA, PFMEA, Poka-Yoke
Knowledge of rapid and conventional prototyping techniques
An exceptional team player with experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
