Position Title : Business Analyst x2, Counterparty Credit Risk Office
Location : Downtown Toronto (Eaton Center Area)
Interview Process :
Round one : in person, 60 minutes, with HM and other team members
Round two : in person, 30-60 minutes, with supervising manager
Role Mandate :
These 2 business analysts will be working on a migration project aimed to migrate the CC BASEL system to the SACCR system.
These analysts will be adopting the regulatory driven CCR Standardized Approach, with a focus on testing activities. This new in-
house solution is designed to cover all the aspects of this initiative.
Interviews will focus on : Excel skills, SQL skills, Industry experience (CCR, OTC, etc.) - depending on the experience stated on the resume

This opening is built for a quantity of 2, however the candidate seniorities will vary :
Candidate A : more junior, 2-3 years of experience in an enterprise-level environment
Candidate B : more senior, 8-10 year of experience in an enterprise-level environment
Both resources will work in a team of 10 BA’s of various seniorities. Some of the resources on the team are tasked with operational work, whilst others (including the 2 on this role) will be tasked with project work.
Cross-Functional Relationships Include : Technology & Development, Risk Models, Capital Markets Finance, Capital Markets Trading Lines of Business, Corporate Risk Management, and Counterparty Credit Risk
Support the implementation process, primarily testing activities. The test requirements would cover various aspects of the risk system, including : trade & market data mappings, various risk measures calculations and aggregations, as well as the related reports and workflows.
Participate in writing of detailed test plans and creation of sample data required to perform the related tests cases
Perform the testing across the entire testing cycle to ensure business requirements are met
Be proactive in identifying issues and proposing solutions
Effectively and efficiently integrate data and processes from the CC BASEL system to the SACCR sTrack and report the testing results
Assist with writing of business requirements
Assist with documenting of procedures, control processes, and policies relevant to internal controls
Consult with stakeholders to understand the detailed line-of-business and / or risk objectives
Continuously improve understanding of subject matter relating to Counterparty Credit Risk monitoring and Basel III RWA / capital calculations
Must-Have Skills :
Experience as a Business Analyst within the financial sector, with a minimum of 2 years of experience working with Counterparty Credit Risk .
Intermediate candidates are expected to have 3-4 years experience and Senior Candidates 8-10.
Hands-on experience in conducting testing including a developed ability to write test cases based on existing business requirements documents and to create mock-
up data required to test the pre-specified cases
Advanced knowledge of Excel, VBA, SQL, and relational databases
Extensive Capital Markets background (strong understanding of OTC and exchange-traded derivative products )
Experience in using work tracking systems (e.g. JIRA, HPQC)
Nice-to-Have Skills :
Broad programming experience ( Python is preferable)
Educational Requirements :
Advanced university degree, preferably in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Engineering.
CFA, FRM, PRM designation or working towards one of those - especially important for the more junior candidates that will possess less industry experience
