The Department of Philosophy at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor for the Winter 2018 semester.

This position is subject to final budgetary approval.

PHILOSOPHY 101 - INTRODUCTION TO PHILOSOPHY

This course introduces philosophical inquiry and explores questions such as : What are the principles of rational inquiry?

Are there different types of knowledge? How is it possible to know something, and what can one know? How do religious beliefs differ from other types of beliefs?

What are some of the traditional arguments regarding the existence of God?

Qualifications :

Successful applicants will have a Ph.D. in Philosophy.

Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster in the academic unit.
