Experience working in material mangement or inventory management operating a computerized inventory / warehouse management system
The team are looking for a detail-oriented, exceptionally organised Material Management Specialist who is able to manage complex systems, has excellent communication, math and analysitcal skills, with relevant comuter software know-how.
This individual can expect to work with inventory-associated documentation, complete tasks working alone and in a team, manage multiple inventories and should be able to report to and advise company management.
Key responsibilities include :
Manage inventory levels or materials across various projects that support production needs.
Asses and improve flows of materials through the warehouse.
Ensure all documentation related to inventory flows is complete, accurate and filed correctly.
Identifying, analyzing and addressing gaps in inventory process.
Work with receivers to close all orders when receiving has been completed by the receiving associate and investigate / resolve over and short shipments
Work with QC inspectors or the containment of identified non-conforming materials
Coordinate special projects involving various elements of warehouse operations.
Coordinate picking / dispatching production requirements as dictated by Material Planning, including analyze and triage work pack issues that may arise
Liaise with Planning to prioritize outbound material movement requirements
Compile various daily warehouse productivity reports.
Compile inventory valuation reports confirming quantity, type and value of materials and equipment using computerized inventory systems.
recording the quantity, type and value of materials, equipment and stock on hand, using manual or computerized inventory systems.
The successful applicant should have :
University Degree or Advanced diploma / degree in Business or Engineering (P. Log or SCMP certification desired)
Proven experience in inventory management and ability to operate a computerized inventory / warehouse management system
Excellent time-management skills and strong attention to detail.
Track record in analyzing and interpreting data reports to find key issues and drive solutions
Proven track record participating in continuous process improvements in the areas of Inventory control or shipping & receiving
Ability to learn the business in order to anticipate customer and seasonal needs, and some supervisory skill is required.
Leadership skills including, delegation skills considered an asset
All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.
S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
