Combining the competencies of DevOps, Systems Administration, and Test Engineering, the role of System Reliability Engineer provides the opportunity to combine your technical ability, strategic thinking and provide detail-

oriented execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You will join a team with the purpose of constantly improve the reliability of our systems through continuous improvements to running infrastructure, and applications.

You will work with application architect’s and developers to transform our approach to both operations and development; having access to fix and strengthen code, designing systems that validate and run code from other teams, and designing tools that monitor and respond to the state of our systems.

Key Accountabilities : THINGS YOU WILL DO :

As a technical team leader you are responsible to

  • Manage reliability of critical infrastructure platforms
  • Improve and maintain site availability, scalability, service and system performance
  • Investigate system errors and problems, bottleneck analysis of the system at scale, etc.
  • Setup monitoring systems and application metrics (SLO) as well as supervise them for prediction / detection of failures
  • Provide solutions for resilience, availability, disaster recovery, and monitoring
  • Provide training programs for both internal and external team members
  • Be part of on call rotation

    YOUR BACKGROUND AND SKILLS INCLUDE :

  • Expertise in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems for resiliency
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, excellent communication skills, and a sense of ownership and drive
  • View problems as a challenge and opportunity to improve
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and team responsibility
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant working experience and at least 3 years in a DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer role demonstrating a mix of Software Engineering, System Administration, and / or Enterprise Operations skills
  • Experience developing in any of the following languages (Java, Javascript, C#, Python, Go, Ruby)
  • Understanding of Unix / Linux systems from kernel to shell and beyond, including internal Unix systems
  • Experience designing and implementing tasks in Continuous Integration systems (Jenkins, Travis, CircleCI, etc.)
  • You have strong knowledge of Agile & Lean methodologies for requirements / design methodology - detail oriented, analytical and capable of investigating complex / technical issues and provide alternative solutions, project & production methodologies.
  • IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE SOME OF THE FOLLOWING :

  • Production operations experience with Azure, GCP, or AWS
  • Experience supporting containers, container orchestration platforms
  • Knowledge of network engineering
  • DNS, TCP / IP, Lad balancing, DMZ, routing protocols, etc
  • Knowledge of Cloud security cryptgraphic key management, certificate infrastructures / PKI, secure coding practices, etc
