Ensure IT applications meet the needs of clients by delivering new or enhanced system functionality and providing ongoing system maintenance and support.

Translate a client’s idea into well-defined business requirements. Design, build, test, deliver and maintain a working IT application.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Project Manager, Analytics, the successful candidate will :
  • Develop front end reporting solutions using the BusinessObjects tools (including Crystal, Web Intelligence, Design Studio, Analysis for Office, and Lumira);
  • Perform data modeling and create universes;
  • Deliver SAP BW design;
  • Activate SAP BW Business Content and modify or create including custom extractors when needed;
  • Create Business Warehouse structures for storing data from non-SAP systems such as SQL databases;
  • Perform end-to-end data design focusing on translating business information into data structures with core skills including information needs analysis, specification of business metrics, and data modeling using SAP BusinessObjects;
  • Design, develop and deploy Reports and Analytics using BusinessObjects tools (Universe, Web Intelligence, Explorer, Dashboard Designer, Design Studio, Advanced Analysis, Lumira, etc);
  • Provide time estimates for requirements gathering, development, testing and deployment activities;
  • Prepare various types of documentation including functional designs, technical specifications, test scripts, software code, client instruction, backup and recovery procedures;
  • Provide solutions to Help Desk support issues using strong interpersonal skills, dealing with clients one on one;
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities through prototyping, documenting and presenting possible solutions;
  • Conduct data validation and quality assurance with clients and other IT resources in support of end-user testing / acceptance and sign-off;
  • Participate in architecting and maintaining a consolidation platform based on SAP and non-SAP source data;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Skills and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree / diploma in computer science or related discipline with a minimum 3 years of SAP BI development and configuration experience, including familiarity with data modeling;
  • Ability to gather detailed Business Requirements and document them into functional and analytics design that leverages the latest features and capabilities in SAP Analytics tools;
  • Required SAP analytics experience with BusinessObjects tools (Universes, Design Studio, Dashboard, Crystal Reports, Explorer, Web Intelligence, Lumira, Data Services, etc.);
  • At least 3 years of experience configuring SAP BW data modeling, extractors and datasources;
  • At least 3 years of experience configuring SAP Business Content is required;
  • At least 3 years of experience in ABAP programming is required;
  • At least 3 years of experience in with Database design, modeling techniques and ETL processes;
  • Solid technical, analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills is required;
  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills is required;
  • Strong initiative, organizational skills and ability to adapt and handle multiple tasks is required;
  • Commitment to service excellence and total quality is essential;
  • SAP BusinessObjects training and certification is preferred;
  • Experience or knowledge with using SAP HANA is an asset;
  • Experience or knowledge with SAP Business Planning and Consolidation is an asset;
  • Experience or knowledge in Hadoop or SAP Vora is an asset;
  • At least 5 years of experience in Agile Development methodology is an asset.
