DESCRIPTION OF POSITION :

  • Conducts accurate and timely testing of raw materials, packaging, in-process, and finished products using in-house and / or AOAC approved methods.
  • completing all tests, properly interpreting results and releasing items in a timely manner.

  • Identify area of concern (low salt, high salt, poor colour, high micro, improper mixing, etc.), issue QN’s and RCCA’s as required
  • Provide troubleshooting support to the production departments by investigating issues that adversely affect food safety / quality or manufacturing efficiency and recommending potential solutions.
  • Communicates effectively with internal customers, other McCormick divisions, vendors and external customers when required
  • Retrieve samples from warehouse as required and conduct inspections for defective product.
  • Conduct monthly GMP audits, allergen swabbing as required.
  • General housekeeping of lab.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Follows all GLP and GMP requirements.
  • Performs daily line audits as required.
  • Participates in JTE as required.
  • Education : University degree in relevant field required.

    Experience :

  • 2 to 5 years in food industry.
  • Qualifications :

  • Familiar with Quality Control systems, GLP, HACCP and GMP’s
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle heavy workloads with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime and on-call support as required and the ability to be flexible with shift and workday assignments to support business need requirements.
