Oracleis hiring a Business Architect forthe Cloud Business Value Services team.As part of a team with US focus, this person will help Oracle’s largestand most strategic customers to develop and understand the business value oflogically transitioning their technology infrastructure to the cloud leveragingOracle’s PaaS and IaaS Cloud Services.Theposition will require the individual to:

1.Identify keyindustry/company and cloud specific strategies and opportunities

2.Assess customer'scurrent and target capabilities

3.Develop businesscases for customers achieving target capabilities

4.Enhance thevarious sales teams’ skills in positioning the value of Oracle’s cloudservices, strategic assessments and general value proposition development

5.Assist the salesteams in territory and account planning.

Inaddition, the position will require the person to lead the development of bothCloud and Industry specific tools and processes to be leveraged by the sales,marketing and consulting organizations in their respective roles.


·Consulting Experience (Required): Experience with a majorconsulting firm, or in internal executive-advisory roles, in helping C-levelexecutive define the strategic corporate agenda. Potential consultingexperience may comprise of:

o2-4 years of experience with a premier IT & managementconsulting firm

o4-6 years experience with industry leading companies in afunctional or IT management role

o8-10 years of experience in operations and strategydevelopment

oProven track record of impact and ability to leadimprovement initiatives

·Software Sales Experience (Preferred): Provenability to manage complex sales cycles and/or to sell concepts/ideas to C-levelexecutives


·Understanding of and familiarity with positioningthe value of cloud solutions and underlying architecture (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS)

·Deep industry knowledge, especially in one or moreof the following industries: Services, Financial Services/Insurance,Manufacturing, Life Sciences, Healthcare,Consumer Goods/CPG, Retail, Energy, and Information Technology

·Functional best practice knowledge in at least oneof the following key solution areas: Platform and Infrastructure Services(PaaS, IaaS), IoT, Digital/Mobility, BI/Analytics or Security

·Exceptional business problem solving combined withstrong interpersonal skills. Outstanding oral and presentation skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
