  • About this Opportunity

    The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator (six-month contract) reports to the National Manager, Health, Safety & Environment in Brampton, and will coordinate safety training dates and materials to support the operation.

    Report safety training and audit results to manager and applicable regulatory gaps identified as part of the audit process.

    Ensure that all local, provincial and Federal safety legislation and requirements are followed.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop / Review Safety and Environmental Training & update current HSE Training Matrix
  • Develops and maintains HSE documentation (including programs, policies, and work documents)
  • Provide safety support, presence and guidance of the overall safety philosophy; evaluate and enforce site Health and Safety Programs and ensure compliance with applicable provincial and federal laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Continually trains, educates and refreshes all facility employees on safe work practices, policies, procedures, standards and reporting related to safety, environmental and health.
  • Maintain the audit results information updated.
  • Coordinates safety meeting schedules, agendas, materials and activities. Responsible for updates to track action items generated from safety meetings and audits.
  • Review Incident Reports from Incident Report Database and discusses incidents with teammates and employees.
  • Reviews and creates One Point Lessons (OPL), Safety Message and Safety Alerts, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI).
  • Report on different departments’ KPIs
  • Gather data, analyze and present potential path forward for safety project related work
  • Demonstrated knowledge of environmental requirements as they relate to our business; maintain accurate records in compliance with Coca Cola Canada Bottling Limited and Ministry of Environment / Environment Canada policies.
  • Qualifications :

  • Postsecondary diploma / degree in OH&S.
  • Holds safety designation is an asset
  • 2 years’ experience in a related industry with direct experience in HSE.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of construction processes and terminology (e.g., blueprints and scheduling).
  • Knowledge of applicable OH&S and environmental legislation.
  • Ability to implement HSE processes.
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence the project team regarding HSE responsibility.
  • Ability to provide and apply conflict resolution techniques with craft workers.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop, influence, and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internal operational systems, with a strong aptitude for adopting new technology
