Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager will support the VP of Human Resources and Organizational Development. The team will expand significantly over the next few years, so recruitment, on-
boarding, and training will be an extremely important part of this role.
Responsibilities include :
Recruitment and retention
Helping to manage relationships with outside recruitment firms
Exploring government programs for hiring incentives
Conducting Screening Interviews
Assisting with on-boarding
Training and development
Drafting employee manuals
Facilitating performance reviews
HR records management
Must be an exceptional communicator
Must be a phenomenal writer capable of drafting succinct but informational emails, manuals, etc.
Must have a good gut sense of what differentiates an exceptional candidate from a fine candidate
Strong organization and project management skills
Must be extraordinarily attentive to detail
Experience in a startup environment is helpful
HR generalist with at least 3-5 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
Flexibility / adaptability. Copes effectively with complexity and change. Comfortable with ambiguity. Experience in a startup environment is preferred.
Able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort.
Attention to detail. Organized, methodical, and meticulous.
Acts without being told what to do. Brings new ideas to the company.
Team-oriented style and strong work ethic. Possesses a strong willingness to work hard to get the job done and setting an example for the team.
Has a track record of delivering on ambitious goals.
Appropriate balance of confidence and humility.
