Our innovative technology and services allow water utilities to manage their pipelines based on reliable information about their condition simply by placing sensors on valves and fire hydrants.
With custom-engineered technologies for detecting and locating leaks, as well as distinguishing healthy pipes from degraded ones, Echologics offers our customers a truly unique set of information-gathering tools.
Echologics is currently searching for a Field Specialist to join our team on a 12-16 month co-operative work term beginning May, 2019.

Key Responsibilities :
Conducting leak detection surveys of distribution water mains
Conducting transmission main leak detection studies
Conducting condition assessment measurements on distribution mains
Interfacing with client representatives and communicating results
Perform flow measurements of transmission mains
Manage and maintain equipment for leak detection and condition assessment projects
Prepare leak detection and condition assessment reports
Conduct field trails of Research and Development Products
Other duties as required
This role involves roughly 75% travel, with each trip typically lasting one to four weeks. Most of the work will be outdoors, conducting leak detection and condition assessment tests on water pipelines, with analysis and reporting duties between deployments
Position Requirements :
Completion of the third year in an Engineering Program
Experience doing outdoor field work, or outdoor hobbies and interests
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to problem solve technical issues
Demonstrated ability to work independently
Excellent customer service skills
Ability and willingness to travel within North America and abroad
Desire to work outdoors doing mechanical and electronics work
Critical competencies : Functional / Technical skills, Technical Learning, Learning on the fly, Problem Solving, Action Oriented, Verbal / Written Communication
Ability to lift loads up to 40lbs on the occasional basis
