This position is responsible for the management of projects on specific account mandates. At this level, the Account Manager is expected to have a strong knowledge of the practice area and will be able to work independently with some supervision.
Depending on the client team structure, this role may report into an Account Supervisor, Account Director, Group Account Director or VP Account Director.
This position oversees the activity of Account Executives and / or
Deliver against specific, divisional business objectives that are identified at the beginning of each fiscal year
Day-to-day client liaison on all programs from development through complete execution, managing all facets independently with little supervision.
Assure resources are marshaled and effectively applied to the account(s) and project(s).
Foster strong relationships built on trust with both the client and internal teams.
Fully understand the client’s business needs and challenges (including current industry knowledge), while committed to delivering the agency’s business objectives and goals.
Responsible for the overall management of projects, always striving to push the standards on agency output and maximization of client relationships, ROI, and account profitability.
Work across multiple accounts / projects simultaneously
Aide in the development of inspired briefs and / or program documents with leadership team
Write and present strong presentations and / or program documents and reports to clients.
Keep senior account lead informed of all account activities.
Provide added value to client business through seamless execution, innovative solutions, and progressive ideas.
Develop, manage, and reconcile budgets and help forecast client revenue
Effective Management of all program related financials including, invoicing, cost tracking, reconciliation etc.
Manage multiple direct reports, providing mentoring, coaching and direction
Develop and own relationships with external vendors

Experiential Event Production
Retail Sampling / Sales Events
Mall or Mobile Tours
Street / Guerilla Sampling
Social media campaign integration
Professional Skills & Requirements
Post-secondary degree / diploma in a related discipline
Minimum 4 years of agency or equivalent experience
Comprehensive understanding of disciplines relevant to the account and a proven track record in managing client accounts and projects
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to multitask efficiently and work autonomously and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Proven ability to grow existing business
Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and lead a team
Sound industry knowledge, solid judgement, and confirmed strategic planning skills
Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong sense of ownership, proactive approach, drive and desire to be accountable for performance
Budget management expertise
Ability to travel up to 40%, access to a car
