Position Summary : An intermediate to senior level electrical engineer who performs a variety of complex engineering and product regulatory assignments in support of Engineering and Product Development initiatives for water treatment equipment. Accountabilities :

  • Provides expertise and working knowledge of relevant electrical standards around product regulatory requirements such as UL, CSA, CE for the Engineering and Product Development teams.
  • Manage regulatory projects and is the point of contact for the Regulatory agencies.
  • Effectively facilitates meetings, teleconferences and other communications with internal and external parties
  • Provides electrical engineering expertise to the design and development of UV disinfection equipment for water treatment.
  • This equipment contains power electronics (lamps and drivers), power distribution and controls.

  • Performs engineering assignments requiring broad familiarity with a variety of electrical theories and concepts.
  • Investigates and provides solid engineering solutions to product issues and continuous improvement value engineering opportunities.
  • Solves problems using a combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures, or developed methods.
  • Works as a team with the mechanical and controls engineers to implement electrical engineering designs to the product.
  • Creates and executes to plans in order to achieve prescribed objectives.
  • Makes independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.
  • Provides professional and comprehensive technical documentation and training
  • Investigates and implements engineering changes to the product.
  • Measures of Performance :

  • Team Training on the regulatory compliance standards.
  • Review and propose updates on the SOPs
  • Review and implement Product safety standards.
  • New Product and Technology Development with SQDC (Safety, Quality. Delivery, Cost)

  • Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Engineer with 8+ years of related work experience.
  • Proven track record of developing innovative design solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should have strong presentation skills.
  • Should be able to coach team members on the regulatory compliance standards.
  • Should be able to work independently.
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple priorities while utilizing project management techniques.
  • Knowledge of power electronics devices and / or power quality fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of control panel design.
