  • Your Responsibilities will include :

  • Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license - drivers abstract required
  • Able to operate snowmobiles, A.T.V.s and 4x4 trucks in a safe and responsible manner
  • Minimum age requirement : 19 years old.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Able to work in all weather conditions, at excessive heights, and walk up and down hills in rough terrain
  • Good communications skills, self-motivated, mature, dependable, timely and able to work well with others
  • Must be able to maintain a calm, effective and friendly manner under periods of stress
  • Strong desire to develop a career in the ski industry, this position can be a good way to build qualifications for millwright apprentice positions.
  • Ideal Candidates :

  • Performing all duties assigned by Lift Maintenance Manager, Lead hand or Millwrights
  • Operate passenger ropeways in a safe and responsible manner and follow work carrier procedures
  • Working safely around rotating equipment in a safe and responsible manner and following lock-out procedures as required
  • Assist in ensuring all lifts are maintained according to current Z-98 code requirements and manufacturer’s recommendations
  • Work safely and follow safety procedures when working at heights
  • Assist lift mechanics with all aspects of lift and department equipment maintenance
  • Extend the highest degree of courtesy and respect in dealings with SPRLLP management, staff, co-workers, and guests at all times
  • Maintain confident and presentable representation of the department
  • Accept and follow the direction of any SPRLLP supervisor or manager as may be requested
  • Keep a clean, organized and safe work environment
  • Keep good track of work performed and ensure it is recorded as required
  • Help develop existing record keeping systems
