The Bank’s Agency Operations Centres (AOC) Modernization Program is a six-year program that will replace obsolete processing equipment and critical information technology and security systems as well as re-engineer operations processes at the Bank’s AOCs in Montreal and Toronto.
What you will do
As the Program Manager for Physical Security Renewal, you will work with other Program Managers from Information Technology Services, Currency and Facilities Services to manage interdependencies and resolve issues.
You will deliver all aspects of the security scope, which includes oversight of the implementation of upgraded security systems technology and other enhancements related to addressing risk.
You will ensure alignment between the security scope of work, business operations as well as the multiple streams of the AOC modernization program.
You will work with Program Team members to deliver and communicate changes that impact employees working at the Montreal and Toronto AOC’s.
You will be responsible for the monitoring and successful delivery of program objectives within agreed scope, time and budget while minimizing impacts to the operations and balancing business and operational desires / expectations with the Program needs and constraints.
You will prepare proposals, produce and deliver program related documentation and presentations for key stakeholders on new technologies to ensure awareness before implementation.
You will identify and participate in the management of projects, program, competing priorities and you will participate in the negotiation trade-offs with the business resulting from scope change, budgetary pressures, and / or delivery constraints.
In addition, you will lead the development of metrics to measure project / program performance, and, if necessary, adjust objectives based on findings.
You will also implement change management best practices to transition individuals and teams to new technology or other impacts through the changes resulting from this program.
You will be required to stay abreast of best practices and innovations to devise, develop, recommend, and implement new approaches that advance the effectiveness and execution of the Program.
Finally, you will act as a subject-matter expert, providing advice and sharing information with colleagues, the departmental leadership teams and external contacts.
What you need to succeed
We are looking for a leader who is an effective communicator and can build strong relationships with the business, the program team, and corporate and external partners and who can represent the interest of the department, when interacting with these groups.
You must have a broad perspective to look for areas where security input adds value to address risks within the scope of the other AOC Program streams.
As a people-leader, you will manage one direct report (project manager) and will also oversee the work performed by up to 5 to 10 professional resources across departments in a matrixed project management environment.
You will lead performance management evaluations for your direct report and will contribute to the evaluations for matrixed project employees.
You will create a healthy work environment for your direct report and the project team by building employee capability, supporting their professional development, and enabling employees to optimize their contributions.

Training may be provided to help reach the required level of fully functional (level 5) in second official language.
