As our new Data Privacy Analyst, you will work closely with enterprise and business unit partners by embedding privacy, which includes designing principles into enterprise business plans and strategic initiatives during the design and execution process.
You will be a versatile teammate, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic in addressing new challenges as we continue to embed Data Privacy and Data Protection principles across the enterprise.
Key responsibilities include :
You will support the implementation of a global privacy controls framework in Canada, and monitor and test of those controls
You'll be assisting in the development and maintenance of Canadian policies and contributing in the design of standards and procedures that support global privacy program objectives
You'll work with business units to review and understand Data Privacy and Data Protection requirements for new and in-
flight projects and initiatives, while also offering practical suggestions as to mitigation activities
You will update controls frameworks where necessary to meet the requirements of new Canadian and applicable internal privacy and data protection regulatory frameworks
You'll manage privacy program metrics and reporting, which includes reports and readouts to Senior Leadership
Required skills :
Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
1-3 years' of data privacy or data protection experience
Knowledge of data architecture, database technologies, and experience with cloud services
You will have experience or familiarity with conducting privacy risk assessments in diverse operational environments
Strong project management and coordination skills with proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and manage multiple projects
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical partners, with focus on informing, influencing and relationship building
Preferred skills :
Bilingual in French
Experience with Confluence, SharePoint, Archer, ServiceNow, and / or Agile
Understanding of consumer credit reporting or information services industry
Experience in conducting complex predictive and statistical analysis and ability to covert numbers to simple text
Experience in SQL queries and BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Experience with Data Protection or Data Governance tools (e.g., data discovery, data mapping data lineage, data loss prevention, database activity monitoring, data modeling)
System architecture or IT infrastructure provisioning experience
Experience with data and business requirements gathering / analysis
