The Delivery Engineer, under the direction of the Manager of Professional Services, will primarily be responsible for executing on project tasks as laid out by the Design and Engineering Team and the PMO Team.
This role will also provide feedback to Design and Engineering for the purpose of improving designs for future deployments.
The Delivery Engineer must possess a degree or diploma in Network Computing, computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering or a field related to the industry and three years of related experience.

What you will do :
Executing on project tasks as laid out by the Design and Engineering Team and the PMO Team which includes but is not limited to the following :
o Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot networked peripheral devices and networking hardware, software, including routers, switches, access points, etc.
o Install, configured, test, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs and intrusion protection systems, etc.
Providing feedback to Design and Engineering for the purpose of improving designs for future deployments.
Provide onsite resources as required to complete project delivery.
Delivering documentation required to pass completed projects to the Support Team, including Diagrams, monitoring setup and other documentation.
Escalation point for the Support Team
Perform security and quality control testing
Provide orientation to new users of existing technology
Analyse complex business needs presented by the user community and / or customers / clients and recommend technical solutions
Evaluate hardware and software to ensure that it meets company requirements
Assist with the planning, approval, and implementation of technology projects
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts
Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
What you bring :
Degree or diploma in computer science, computer systems engineering, software engineering, web design, or a field related to the industry
Three years of related experience
Certifications with Cisco (CCNP or CCIE) or equivalent work experience
Certifications with Fortinet are an asset (NSE certification path)
Full understanding of WAN technologies such as MPLS, TLS and point to point
Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Radius
Working technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems
Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies
Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical members of the organization
Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
High level of integrity and work ethic
Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
Demonstrated time management skills
Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
Must have a valid Drivers Licence and own a car
Attendance and conducting of presentations
Extended periods of sitting
Flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Lifting / Carrying heavy computer equipment
Working in various customer environments
Occasional travel and overnight travel
