What you’ll do

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing and Business Development teams to incorporate key business drivers and sales directives into learning objectives that will maximize sales force effectiveness
  • Develop and implement relevant, effective training objectives, content, resources, and processes to advance product and technical knowledge as well as meet brand and performance needs
  • Develop, contribute, and help maintain sales enablement resources and materials including learning paths, certification programs, and a content library
  • Maintain updated records of training material, curricula and costs.
  • Manage the onboarding process including content, curriculum, and resources to provide efficient and fluid training and onboarding of new Commercial Specialists and Area Sales Managers
  • Periodically conduct assessments of acquired skills and participate in employee assessments
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify areas of improvement
  • Deliver timely updates to learning curriculum and training materials by identifying ongoing training needs and objectives
  • Liaise with external trainers or industry professionals and organize seminars and create a learning event calendar
  • Liaise with internal partners and external vendors, to develop the creation of a value-added training program for external high value customers.
  • Effectively translate the ideas and goals of the learning strategy into unique and functional designs that align with the business' strategic direction and messaging
  • Develop content that encourages active learning, retention, and improved performance on the job.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends in usage of training materials and prepare reports of findings.
  • What you bring

  • Three to five years experience in the automotive industry
  • Strong understanding of commercial sales
  • Experience of the training field, and the development of educational materials and tools specific to employee training
  • Experience using eLearning tools, Articulate 360, an asset, but not required
  • Superior understanding of sales methodologies, sales processes, and buyer’s journey alignment
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with varied department, management, and audiences
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Strong customer focus with emphasis on building and sustaining relationships
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team and able to meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient in Windows platforms (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Willingness to travel (less than 25%)
  • Specific Duties

  • Work with marketing team to align product knowledge training to marketing calendar and ensure new products
  • Create onboarding plans and learning paths for commercial specialists and ASMs
  • Implement ASE certification
  • Create library of CS resources
  • Create library of ASM resources
  • Create and update CRC learning materials
  • Identify areas of improvement and make suggestions
  • Update and maintain curriculum within TLA
  • Create and maintain eLearning catalogue
  • Work with brands to create and manage a learning event calendar of webinars for stores
  • Create training portal that can be shared with high value customers
  • Create and facilitate interactive training for CSs and ASMs as required
  • Train sales consultants to manage and overcome objections and put knowledge into practice
  • Deliver extended learning with pre- and post- engagement activities & email communications
  • Use TLA to report on training usage
