This opportunity will allow you to evolve in the framework of major projects and act as a consultant expert with the project team and clients in terms of project planning and control.

Our PCO are responsible for implementing project control strategies and apply them to various infrastructure, transportation or building projects.

Primary responsibilities

  • Support project management for the development of the detailed work plan, coding, and work breakdown structure (WBS).
  • Ensure budgetary planning, as well as project cost follow-up, control and closing.
  • Prepare and monitor the master schedule and detailed schedules, incorporate changes dans analyze impacts.
  • Establish and analyze the critical path. Propose schedule optimization measures to the client.
  • Communicate budget and schedule follow-up to the project team, monitor, analyze and communicate variances, and propose corrective actions.
  • Control and recognize all project-related invoices and follow-up on approvals and payments.
  • Identify and analyze costs and schedule trends. Evaluate and propose solutions to minimize the impacts of variances.
  • Prepare the project cash flow curve and update it on a regular basis.
  • Validate suppliers and subcontractors’ schedules based on contractual requirements and project objectives.
  • Prepare monthly reports on the project progress and cost control.
  • Ensure regular communication with project directors, project teams and clients.
  • Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or MBA, or master’s degree in project management
  • More than six years of experience as a PCO or in a similar role
  • Advanced practical knowledge of planning software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project)
  • Experience in major industrial projects
  • Good understanding of EPCM practices
  • Advanced practical knowledge of the MS Office suite and MS Project
  • Command of the French language (spoken and written)
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, initiative, versatility, resourcefulness, and autonomy
  • Ability in handling data and using various software
  • Thoroughness and consistency
  • Interpersonal skills and team spirit
  • Attention to detail and work quality
  • Functional English (an asset)
