Required Qualifications :
University Degree and / or combination of College Diploma with minimum 5 years of Supervisory / Management
experience in a manufacturing environment OR proven practical work experience and work ethics if considered for
Excellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)
Advance knowledge in computer software for windows
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal and strong leadership skills
A good mentor and motivator
Good working knowledge of quality system
Knowledge of SPC techniques in automotive manufacturing environment
Good working knowledge of blueprint reading and quality measuring tools
Familiar with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Code
Appointed as the TS Management Representative
Lead the Quality Department and ensuring subordinates compliance to established policies, work procedures and work instructions
Liaison with customers on quality related issues
Coordinate quality problem investigation and completion of customer specific corrective action requirements
Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials meet Supplier Quality Standards
Provide management reports and documentation of key measurable as required, and maintain a system for communicating ongoing performance to Senior Management and employees
Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system
Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process and quality system,
stop production if necessary to correct quality problems
Control further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected
Oversee the team, ensuring up to date Quality related records and ISO / TS requirements
Ensure departmental labour budget is met consistently and make recommendation for departmental improvement
To train, develop, mentor, direct and discipline subordinates to ensure a productive, efficient and competent workforce to meet scheduled requirements in a safe environment
Make recommendation to Senior Management and Human Resources Manager on the confirmation and / or disposition of employees within the probationary period and / or deficiencies in performance
Provide regular constructive feedback and communication to subordinates formally and informally on company policies, work procedures and work standards etc.
and to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures at all times
Responsible for ensuring all training within the department is completed in a timely manner and documented
Ensure good housekeeping for the department and that all areas responsible are tidy and organized at all times
Ensure departmental personnel follow Company policies on Health, Safety & Environment and PPE requirements
Encourage participation and involvement of subordinates on the continuous improvement / employee suggestion program
