As the Brand Localization Lead you are responsible for maintaining our global tone of voice and creative intention in our seven (7) supported languages while also ensuring we respect cultural nuances.
You help drive our global language strategy and are an integral part of ensuring the success of our campaigns abroad. This is a temporary position until end of January 2023, with the possibility of extension.
Meet Your Future Team : You will work as part of the Brand Operations team a collaborative group of Project Managers, Producers and Operators responsible for defining and evolving process and leading creative teams to the successful delivery of campaigns and projects.
You will work in close partnership with all levels of the Operations and Creative teams and with cross functional partners.
If you were the Brand Localization Lead now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing :
Leading localization projects with cross-functional teams for campaigns and marketing content, CRM, e-mails, product and web copy, retail, and more
Overseeing the work of contractors and agencies and ensuring translation projects improving in quality and accuracy over time, and are on-time and on-budget
Partnering with regional teams to understand cultural or regional nuances and communicating this information for the global marketing team, with the goal of producing creative content that is regionally relevant and successful
Mobilizing international marketing team members to review campaign creative concepts and localized content
Intervening as needed on translated content to ensure consistency and integrity of work and ensure brand guidelines are met for all projects
Developing and implementing processes to increase efficiency, and manage cost and time to market for localized versions
Managing the maintenance of translation glossaries and memories
Collaborating on the research and incorporation of industry best practices, innovations, and tools
Leading and supporting regional recruitment of writers, editors, translators, brand reviewers, and working closely with them to ensure they understand the requirements, scope and priority of each project
Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure that regional writers are integrated into creative timelines at the appropriate time(s)
Managing translation budget planning, invoices, and monthly reconciliations

Briefing our international marketing teammates in Munich, Tokyo, and Shanghai on our newest product marketing campaigns and working with the creative team to help produce versions of creative assets that align with the regional teams’ strategies
Finding ways to improve the above process, as well as the translation tools and technologies that help achieve these goals, in order to drive gains in quality and efficiency
Are you our next Brand Localization Lead?
You have 5+ years’ work experience, with at least 3 years in a Localization or Language Management position
You have proven success in a deadline-driven role delivering projects with multiple components and multiple stakeholders
You have experience working with TMS, CMS and other translation tools; knowledge of TransPerfect Globalink a bonus.
You have experience working with Project Management tools; knowledge of Smartsheet and Monday.com a bonus.
You are familiar with numerous languages; native speaker of French, German, Spanish, or Mandarin is ideal
You are a creative as well as strategic thinker who can demonstrate strong organizational and management skills.
